I recently listened to a message from Pastor Ricky Temple of Overcoming By Faith Ministries in Savannah, Georgia. In his message he used the tagline “A Short Time View of a Long-term Life“. When I heard him say this it made me pause a moment to let the statement sink in.
As we journey through life, each of us will experience situations or things that are not always pleasant. If you have any doubts that this is a true statement, just turn on your television or watch your favorite social media platform to see it playing out before your eyes.
Dealing with fear is one of the most difficult challenges that we will face in life. We seemed to be programmed to fear almost everything. We have a fear of failure, of embarrassment, of rejection, of change, and a big one, the fear of death. There are many other things that we fear, but I think most of us can identify with at least a couple of the ones on this list. Fear leads to worry and anxiety. If these emotions go unchecked, they can start manifesting into physical issues.
There will be times in our lives when we will find ourselves in situations where we need help. Sometimes we can see these situations coming and at other times they catch us totally by surprise. But whenever the time comes there is wisdom in asking for help.
