I’ve prayed the prayer, I’ve shed the tears,
I’ve walked through doubt, and battled fears.
Yet in the stillness of delay,
You teach my restless heart to stay.
Not every door is meant to swing,
The moment I begin to sing.
Some answers rise like morning light,
But others grow through silent night.
You’re not a clock I set by hand,
Nor bound by ways I understand.
Your wisdom weaves through every hour,
And waiting births a deeper power.
While I wait, I learn to trust,
To lay down pride, to cling, adjust.
You’re shaping more than just my fate,
You’re shaping me… while I wait.
So I will wait-not in despair,
But in the arms of patient prayer.
I’ll worship through the ache and pause,
For even silence serves Your cause.
And when You move – oh, what a day!
The waiting winds will blow away.
I’ll see You planned it all with grace,
The perfect time, the perfect place.
