Fearfully, Wonderfully Different

We are threads in holy fabric,

woven by the Master’s hand,

each a shade of grace and promise,

each a note in love’s great band.

Some speak softly, some roar loudly,

some are restless, some are still,

yet within our crafted contours

beats the pulse of Heaven’s will.

Skin of copper, ivory, sable,

tongues that dance in varied streams,

God delights in all His children,

calls us mirrors of His dreams.

So let difference be our treasure,

not a wall but open door;

may we cherish what He planted,

diverse gardens, evermore.

One in Spirit, bound in mercy,

one in Christ, yet not the same;

fearfully, wonderfully different,

yet we rise to praise His name.
